The POCKETMASTER MONO stands out for being extremely lightweight compared to its metal counterparts. This version is made entirely from high-quality ebonite in the color "Sand U06".
Ebonite is a natural material made from rubber tree resin. It has been used since the 1920s in premium writing instruments and is known for its warm, smooth feel. It’s also tough—resistant to scratches and wear.
The ebonite used here comes from one of the few remaining manufacturers still dedicated to this material: the Schönberger Ebonite Manufactory in Germany.
The pen was designed and handcrafted by Frank Pressentin, founder of ELBWOOD. His workshop uses traditional, manually operated machines. Each pen is shaped directly on the lathe, giving every piece a unique character. No two are exactly the same.
Despite being only 10 cm when closed, the POCKETMASTER MONO becomes a full-sized fountain pen when posted. The design is compact, minimal, and timeless. The ribbed grip section in the center adds both function and a distinct look.
We offer this pen with an 18K gold nib (JoWo No. 6, made in Germany).
The pen uses standard international ink cartridges. A few cartridges in royal blue are included.
