Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days Doué Classique Ballpoint

The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s novel. The Solitaire Doué Classique Ballpoint has a dark blue lacquer barrel and a metal cap. It tells the last part of the journey: from Yokohama to London through the U.S., by train.

There’s a laser-engraved train on the cap and a safety chain pattern on the cone. This refers to a key scene where Passepartout unhooks the train to save the crew from a Sioux attack. The cap also shows pressure valves and smoke from the train.

The clip has a red heart symbol – a nod to Fogg’s bond with Princess Aouda. The card suits also link to Fogg’s bet to finish the trip in 80 days. On top of the cap, the timeline is engraved: 36 days from Yokohama to London, and 80 days total.
