Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days Blue Classique Fountain Pen

The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne’s novel. This Classique Fountain Pen, made of dark blue resin, tells the story of Mr. Fogg and Passepartout on the last part of their trip—from Yokohama to London through the U.S., crossing America by train.

The cap shows a laser-engraved train. The cone has a chain pattern, a nod to the scene where Passepartout unhooks the train to save the crew from a Sioux attack. The cap also shows pressure valves and smoke from the engine. The clip has a red heart symbol, a reference to the bond between Fogg and Princess Aouda. The card suits also stand for Fogg’s bet to finish the journey in 80 days.

On top of the cap is the route timeline: 36 days from Yokohama to London, and 80 days total. The 14K gold nib is engraved with the dates 14/11 and 21/12—when Fogg left Yokohama and planned to return to London. It also shows a hot air balloon, a tribute to Verne’s first adventure novel.
