La Dotta Bamboo Limited Edition Fountain Pen

This limited edition opens a three-year series inspired by the Japanese “Three Friends of Winter.” Bamboo stands for resilience and a calm, steady spirit.

The pen is crafted by Urushi master Takeshi Matsuyama. He grew up around maki-e work and is dedicated to preserving traditional techniques. His style blends Japanese craft with a touch of modern design, always guided by nature and quiet spirituality.

The pen features an “Ishime” textured surface and gold and silver Maki-e details forming a stylized bamboo motif. The nib has a subtle dedicated engraving. Each piece is numbered out of 68, with the artist’s signature and the edition name in katakana on the cap.

The packaging includes a handmade wooden box with a traditional cord and a kimono-fabric sleeve.

It is a tribute to balance, renewal, and inner strength.
