Great Characters Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition 1942 Fountain Pen

In 2022, Montblanc pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix, one of the most influential electric guitarists of the 20th century.

The Limited Edition 1942 takes cues from the 1968 album Electric Ladyland. The barrel has a degradé lacquer and a skeletonized metal overlay. The cap’s texture recalls the surface of an amp Hendrix used, with a lacquer badge set into it.

The clip, coated in yellow gold, is shaped like a vibrato bar. The Montblanc emblem on the top is made of precious resin.

A yellow gold-coated ring on the barrel, inspired by a 1960s guitar cable, is engraved with the date of one of Hendrix’s famous concerts.

The nib is handcrafted in solid Au 750 gold and features a portrait of Hendrix.
