The Namiki Emperor Owl maki-e fountain pen boasts both the Rankaku and Togidashi-Taka Maki-e techniques in its impeccable design. Using multiple layers of lacquer, this masterpiece takes months to create. The pen is further elevated by the iconic silhouette of Mount Fuji etched onto its 18-karat gold nib. This magnificent No. 50 Jumbo nib is unparalleled in size, even overshadowing the nibs of other prestigious writing instruments such as the Montblanc 149 and #8. It is equipped with an eyedropper filling system, holding an impressive 6 ml of ink and utilizing the same ink stopping function as the original Namiki eyedropper pens from the 1930s. The barrel is filled using the included eyedropper, and the valve on the end of the pen controls the flow of ink from the barrel to the writing section. Alternatively, the valve can be left open for a continuous ink supply during longer writing sessions.
