Inspiration

The fourth collaboration between Montegrappa and Project WILD draws from the majestic stillness of the Arctic. Ice fields, glaciers, shifting snow, and the contrast between endless daylight and polar darkness shape a collection designed to raise awareness for some of the world’s most vulnerable natural environments.

Design & Materials

Crafted from resin and enriched with Super-LumiNova, the pen reveals luminous contours in darkness, echoing the glowing lines and fractured surfaces of Arctic pack ice. During daylight, the finish reflects the crisp tones of frozen landscapes, while at night it transforms into a striking luminescent composition.

The custom steel clip takes the form of a snowy owl feather, a signature element of Project WILD editions and a symbol of nature’s delicacy, while the finial disc is engraved with the Project WILD expedition mantra: What You Love – You Will Protect.

Writing Experience & Collectibility

The fountain pen is fitted with a 14k gold nib measuring available in EF, F, M, B, and Stub 1.1 sizes. With a cartridge/converter filling system, it offers versatility for everyday use while preserving the refined writing feel expected from Montegrappa.

Produced as a numbered limited edition of 170 fountain pens and 170 rollerballs, each writing instrument is accompanied by custom packaging and a set of postcards depicting Arctic wildlife and pristine landscapes.
