Pelikan

Pelikan is a German brand with deep roots in ink and fine writing culture. The company traces its origins to Hanover and traditionally dates its founding to 28 April 1838, starting with the production of inks and related materials.

Pelikan later became famous for its fountain pens, especially its piston filling technology. In 1929, Pelikan began producing fountain pens with a piston filler, later known as the Model 100, which helped establish the brand’s reputation for engineering and reliability. 

In 1950, Pelikan introduced the Model 400, a design that became a long standing icon for the brand, and the line later became known as Souverän. Today, Pelikan is widely associated with elegant striped barrels, smooth piston mechanisms, and a consistent writing feel, supported by a broad world of inks and accessories.
