Design & Materials
Built upon the iconic Montblanc 149 chassis – one of the most recognisable silhouettes in the world of fine writing – the edition draws inspiration from the serene landscapes and cultural symbols of the Swiss canton of Zug.
Crafted from Montblanc’s precious resin in a grey-blue glacier tone, the pen features metal top and piston knob components instead of the traditional resin, a configuration historically reserved for rare special interpretations.
At the heart of the pen lies an 18-carat gold nib, carrying the true identity of the edition. It features geometric embossing inspired by the top of the Zytturm – the historic clock tower in Zug’s Old Town and one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. Above it, three cherries reference the famous Zuger cherries that have shaped the cultural identity of the region for centuries.
On the left side of the geometric motif, the nib bears the engraving “Style of Zug,” while the opposite side carries the mark 1 of 500.
